WASHING CASHMERE

The care label might read "dry clean only" but hand washing your cashmere will actually work wonders if done correctly. 

SOAK

Use only tepid water and never expose the wool to direct heat. Use a few drops of mild detergent or baby shampoo. 

Soak for 10 minutes and swish gently.

RINSE

Gently ball up the knitwear and squeeze out the water without excessive wringing or stretching. Rinse with clean, tepid water until detergent is gone. 

ROLL

Squeeze out the water and lay the sweater flat on a towel and gently roll to remove the moisture

DRY

Let the sweater dry on a flat surface, keeping it away from sun and heat. Do not tumble dry. 

PILLING

Pilling is the tiny balls of fluff that build up over time. It is the cashmere fibres naturally shredding, caused by wear. We suggest using a clothes shaver to remove the tiny pills.
