The Shine Studios

The Shine Studios creator, April Johnston started with a career as a full time photographer which lead her to many destinations across the globe. Her extensive travel and busy life made her yearn for a less hectic and more zen way of being and this is where her passion for pottery making was born. Pulling from her international travel experiences, April creates organic modern vessels that have become a fast favorite with interior designers. Each vessel is created by hand to be one-of-a-kind with a Wabi Sabi aesthetic. Each Vessel is hand coiled and built without molds, so that every piece is 100% unique and covered in a special glaze that’s often fired multiple times for a distinct surface texture.
