Welsh Stick Chair | Solid White Oak
This one-of-a-kind Welsh Stick Chair made by the she Santa Barbara Woodworker is inspired by chairs built in Wales known as Welsh Stick Chairs. These early, primitive chairs were originally made from any type of strong wood that was readily available in the area where the chair was built. The chairs are simple in form, relying on the balance of proportions and angles for their beauty and comfort. While all of the chairs by the The Santa Barbara Woodworker have similar characteristics, each chair becomes unique based on the chair's unique wood species, form, number of sticks, arms, comb and grain patterns.
