Caroline Shares Her Favorite Home Updates For Spring

It's been an exciting time in the stores with new arrivals for spring being unpacked daily, and whilst I have so much to show you, always, I figured I'd share some favorite new additions that have made it into my home from DIANI Living. From luxurious dish soap that's countertop worthy, to a Jean-Michel Basquiat art retrospective book, I'm inspired to bring fresh newness to my living spaces...

With spring gatherings in full swing, these Round Fringe Placemats have become an immediate favorite to add flair to table settings. They're entirely handmade by artisans in Spain using fique, a natural fibre derived from the Furcraea bedinghausii plant, a large succulent native to Southern Mexico. This fibre is also biodegradable and can be used as animal food and fertilizer once it decomposes. What's not to love?!

I'm loving our newest home care line, Australian-based Murchison-Hume, which makes the most heavenly dish soap, hand soap, hand cream and a room and linen spray. The plant-based Heirloom Dish Soap is a serious multitasker – it's gentle enough for your best china, but still tackles the greasiest everyday dishes. And the light, subtle citrus blossom scent is perfect for spring.

Jean-Michel Basquiat's family created a wonderful retrospective of the late artist's work called King Pleasure and I was able to see the show in NYC a few months ago. It beautifully captures the enormous talent that Basquiat had from a very young age and his interconnectedness with the art scene in NYC in the 1980s. I was excited to find a book featuring the works featured in the exhibit and it has become an instant favorite go-to on my coffee table. Jean-Michel Basquiat: King Pleasure explores his contribution to art, the music scene, the Black experience, pop culture, African American sports figures and literature. The book tells the story of his life from the lens of his family and includes a collection of unseen paintings, drawings and sketches.

Our bestselling felted fleece rugs are perfect for brightening up a space for spring indoors or out – draped over a bench, as a seat pad or as a floor rug. What makes them so special is that they're made of only sheep's wool, not the skin, on a small farm in the Peak District, England and our brand new batch are my favorite to date.

There isn't a skincare product from Susanne Kaufmann that I don't love, so I'm thrilled to be adding her Hand Soap to the collection at DIANI Living, and of course in my home. This gentle, everyday soap is made from a blend of moisturizing plant extracts that soothe and strengthen the skin without dryness. Use with Susanne Kaufmann's nourishing Hand Cream for velvety soft and supple skin.

I first discovered the popular Pina Table Lamps at a hotel in NYC. They're chic, subtle and effective at creating the perfect lighting for any space indoors or out. For spring, I added the Poldina Pro Micro Table Lamp in white. This light may be little but it packs an ambient punch – from intimate gatherings to bedside reading, this lamp can be used both indoors and out. It also has a contact charging base and a touch dimming feature and can be moved around easily. I've been taking mine into the bathroom in the mornings to add some targeted light while putting on my makeup.

The busyness of the new season can catch up to all of us, so it's always a good idea to steal some time periodically to relax and unwind. Taking a bath is one of my favorite indulgences and I've just added a new bath oil to our Susanne Kaufmann collection. Bath For The Senses promotes restful sleep and combines the soothing scents of ylang ylang, patchouli and lavender to help with relaxation, and rosemary to promote circulation. The scent is divine and I'm pretty sure you'll be hooked on it like I am.

I love bringing in new additions to the stores, especially after the lull of winter. It's the season where we love to wake up and revive tired spaces  – whether it's as simple as a chic bottle of dish soap or a textural sheep rug, I hope some of these new favorites inspire you to bring spring into your home. As always, we're here to help, so please reach out to care@dianiboutique.com with any questions. Or drop a message here and I will email you back.

Sending lots of love,
