Your Giving Thanks Gift Guide
Every year the holiday season seems to sneak up on me and I can't believe Thanksgiving is already just over three weeks away. I'm really looking forward to spending more cozy evenings indoors, decorating the house, and gathering with loved ones for delicious grub. And this year, I’m feeling a little more on top of things, so starting to stock up on a few favorite "thank you" gifts that I’ll have on hand to give to hostesses, friends and family. From seasonal candles and etched glassware to sculptural vases and soothing soaps and incense, these are my must-haves for celebrating the spirit of giving thanks.
The DIANI Cookie Box is the perfect plus one to bring to your next holiday gathering. It fits 12 or 16 of your handmade cookies or locally baked favorites. Or you can take out the dividers and fill with your favorite pie!
Dinner candles are one of my favorite gifts to give any time of year and, as the nights get longer, it's a great time to stock up for around the home. These tapered candles are crafted from 100% beeswax and look lovely on a holiday table and have a long burn time cause they're nice and long at 16 inches.
I’m always on the hunt for beautiful, unique vases to fill my home, and yours. I’m currently obsessed with this new mouth blown vase designed in Copenhagen and made in Poland. The round, playful shape has a sculptural quality that instantly stands out as a work of art. It also looks striking filled with seasonal foliage, from dried stems to fresh flowers.
We're always connected to our devices these days, so gifting an inspirational hard back that can be enjoyed sans phone is a must to daydream with. Eight Homes is a brand new coffee table favorite by the uber talented design duo behind Clements Design, which features eight outstanding residences that are luxurious, yet subdued, and filled with natural materials, muted colors and calming textures. A feast for the eyes...
For the natural apothecary lover, this Holy Hand + Body Soap is a favorite of mine. Crafted from 100% organic, sustainably harvested plant-based ingredients, this soap is gentle, effective and safe for the whole family to enjoy. And the sacred and healing blend of lavender, palo santo and patchouli will ease you right into the holidays. This glass bottle is perfect for reusing and there is a refill bottle available too. How's that for encouraging less packaging waste.
One of my favorite ways to thank a friend is by giving the gift of self care. This meditation sampler set is perfect for someone just getting into the magic of incense. It includes eight resin incense sticks, two of each blend - Breu, Sage, Chacrona, and Palo Santo. Add on this ceramic incense holder and smudge bowl for the complete starter kit.
Inspired by nature, the Sienna etched champagne glass is a beautiful accompaniment to any celebration. Botanical designs are engraved into this super thin glass for timeless elegance. Choose from three designs – fern, berry or pine or mix and match your favorites. A lovely gift for the hostess or friend who loves to entertain.
Handcrafted in Santa Barbara, these beautiful vases by Yokwe Ceramics have become collectors pieces for many, myself included. Inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese design with natural earth tones, this size is a lovely gift for a friend or hostess. I also like to cluster a few together as the centerpiece of a tablescape and fill them with a few dried stems from our DIANI Dried Flower Bar.
Now that our seasonal candles have hit the shelves, I’ve stocked up on a few to give as gifts throughout the holidays. They're handcrafted using natural biodegradable soy wax and consist of a blend of therapeutic-grade essential oils, natural and fine fragrances. One of my favorite scents is Forest Fir – the perfect mix of cedar and citrus to get you in the festive mood.
The perfect gift for a lover of the garden, this dandelion paperweight is a personal favorite of mine. It showcases a preserved dandelion head that was hand-picked in the UK before being encased in the sphere. No two paperweights are the same, making this gift a one-of-a-kind treasure.
For the head chef with a sense of humor, this dish towel is a gift sure to make her smile. Made from 100% cotton flour sack material that is super absorbent, this towel features a loop in the back to keep it secure so it won’t fall on the floor. Functional and fun, this makes a great hostess gift.
If you’re looking for a candle to make a statement, the Milk candle is like a modern work of art. It's made of organic soy wax and the unique shape instantly elevates any room in the home. I like to cluster together a few from the collection on my coffee table... burning optional, but very pretty when you do!
Who doesn’t love a fun pair of socks? Add some zest to her sock collection with these magic mushroom crew socks. Made from a cotton wool blend, they're not only comfortable, but chic too - equally great under boots or with heeled sandals or Birks for that lewk the French ladies do so well.
