The May Edit

We’ve made it to summer and we’re all ready for the sunny days ahead. We’ve been preparing for the season with those things that I know we all gravitate towards: cotton and linens, easy dresses and airy sandals. And for time outdoors and entertaining: comfy cushions, casual tabletop essentials and more. So for The May Edit, I’m sharing my favorites with you…

I'm highlighting light layers, bright prints, shorts, sandals and breezy dresses and a couple of my favorites are the belted Oxana dress which is perfect for any occasion. Made from 100% cotton in a beautiful, rich tan print, it pairs well with the gold medallion sandals from Ancient Greek Sandals. For a light layer, the cotton blend sleeveless sweater from Sablyn is easy over a tank, and tied back to the "suits all body types" linen shorts in natural, or for a dressier look, the loose leg linen trousers. Denim shorts in white are a must for summer, and I'm loving the easy cut and length of the Russel shorts from Nili Lotan. Wear with a leg lengthening and super comfortable wedge like the Orazio espadrilles from Pedro Garcia. Two more dresses that I'm loving for summer are the Yucca maxi dress and the Nubia maxi. Both offer a fun take on print dresses, and are cut with an elegant style. And, they're easy to pack for a trip too!

There’s nothing quite like taking entertaining outdoors at this time of year, and now is a perfect time to refresh your every day essentials - seat cushions being a great place to start. As many of you know, I collaborated with Tensira on a range of fabrics that have been designed for casual and elegant indoor/outdoor lounging and entertaining. The tufted cushion in Greenwich stripe is one of my favorites. For tabletop, the Pina light is an essential, and we have several of them dotted along our outdoor dining table and side tables at home. They give the perfect amount of ambient light and are dimmable too. Keep the evening chill at bay with this pretty Nova throw, or pack it for a day at the park or beach. The fringe placemats have been a solid customer favorite, so we brought them back this year, along with The Stone Jug striped linen napkins. For a summer color pop, I’m loving the new crystal champagne coupes in amber from Louise Roe, and the Norwich ice bucket is an everyday favorite of mine. Show off your foraged florals with the new All Seasons vase handmade in Santa Barbara for The Stone Jug collection. And to store all the fresh produce from the garden, I’m loving the new chic Balloon Tray, perfect for setting on a coffee table or kitchen counter or island. Water those planters with ease and style with the white 9 Liter watering can made to last and rust proof.

Wherever you are this Memorial Day weekend, I hope you're enjoying it exactly how you want to and that you find time to feel the sun and warm air. We're very excited to welcome this new season in the stores and can't wait to show all the goodies we've been putting together.

Sending lots of love,
