The June Edit With Caroline

It’s officially summer, and boy, have we earned the sunshine. Now is the time to celebrate, gather al fresco and feel the sun on your skin. In alignment with this season’s bustling energy, I’ve been curating the stores with everything you need to live your best life this summer. Maybe your calendar is packed with weddings and you don’t have a thing to wear (we’ve all been there), or you’re looking to revamp your outdoor space, or you simply need new sandals. For this month’s edition of The Edit, I’m sharing my collection of favorites for summer weddings, outdoor living, and swoon worthy shoes for the season ahead.

You’ve RSVP’d to a wedding or event this summer, now it’s time to figure out what to wear. Whether in the city, al fresco in the country or a destination affair, we’ve got you covered. I’m all about wearing colors and prints paired with neutral accessories. The Margot Dress from Saloni is the ultimate summer dress, featuring a vivid print of cascading shells and fiery rouge ripples. It feels classic with edgy details, like sculptural sleeves. I’m styling it with the Maru Heels from Aeyde and the Odette Tiered Clutch from Loeffler Randall.

A similar shape and style, but in an eye-popping lemon yellow, the Lea Dress from Saloni makes a statement. It has a beautiful bias cut to flatter the figure and silk fabric that elegantly drapes around the body. You can style this dress with the Maru Heels or for a touch of sparkle, the Isla Heels from Pedro Garcia.

With a nod to the designer’s hometown of Buenos Aires, the Cachi Toribia Midi Dress from Maria Cher is sexy and sophisticated. The bright, bold color is a favorite for summer, and the silk fabrication is lightweight and perfect for warmer weather. Plus, the gathered bodice and flowy skirt are flattering on many different body types. I’m styling it with the Isla Heels and the Brit Pleated Pouch from Loeffler Randall for a little sheen and sparkle.

If bold colors aren’t your thing, keep it neutral in the Cairo Silk Maxi Dress from Chufy. It’s made from the softest silk and the print pays homage to the traditional art of Nepal. The style is a relaxed and loose fit with ruffled sleeves and ruching at the waist. A gorgeous dress and the perfect choice for a balmy summer wedding. I’m styling it with the Isla Heel, and for a touch of gold, adding in the handcrafted Soko Oval Statement Cuff.

Whether you’re heading to the tropics or attending a summer soirée, swoon worthy shoes will elevate any look. From flats and heels to wedges and pumps, we have a variety of summer shoes to fit any occasion. Chic open-toed flats will compliment a relaxed, yet elegant vacation-ready look. The metallic Izzie Knot Sandals from Loeffler Randall are just the right amount of sheen, and the Smirni Sandals from Ancient Greek Sandals with their double strap design stand out with beaded detailing.

From kitten heels to stilettos, I love to dress up a summer look with chic heels. If a low heel is what you're after, I love these Metallic Sandals from Vanessa Bruno, with their strap detailing that wrap around the ankle. For a pop of print and sparkle, the Ascen Heels from Pedro Garcia feature Swarovski crystals and a comfortable, cone heel.

To give you a little height, the Camellia Pleated Bow Heels are a show stopper. They have a pleated metallic fabric topped with an oversized bow and block heel. For more of a classic stiletto style - the Clarita 75 Heels from Alexandre Birman are the ones you will reach for time and again. They're handcrafted from smooth leather for a classic day-to-night style. A staple in every women’s wardrobe, the Purist Pumps from Aquazzura are timeless and chic and instantly elevate any look from trousers, jeans or a dress.

The classic summer shoe – a wedge gives you height with a casual elegance and functionality for grassy or beach events. I’m loving the subtle silhouette of the Fay Mid Wedges from Ancient Greek Sandals. For more of a statement, the Blaudell Canvas Wedges from Castañer are a summer favorite. They're made from eco-sustainable materials and can be styled with a variety of outfits, from dresses and denim to skirts and shorts. A serious travel must!

In the summer months Jeffrey and I move much of our daily habits outdoors, from tea and breakfast to evening walks and hosting gatherings. If you’re looking to give your outdoor space a little refresh, these are my current favorite finds.

Bringing comfort and luxury al fresco will give an added reason to take activities outside and let you linger and relax. The DIANI X Tensira cushions and bedrolls offer it all and the fabrics I created are designed to be mixed and matched. Add style to your dining chairs with the Tufted Chair Cushion, and relax against the Long Cushion, perfect for lounge areas and outdoor couches. Made from 100% cotton, all fabrics are hand dyed by artisans in Guinea and the filling is 100% kapok. The DIANI x Tensira Bedroll layers well on a lounge chair or this Maine Heritage Cot. Made from natural wood, this cot is perfect for camping, backyards and porches... and I can vouch for it being a great napping bed.

When setting an outdoor table I like to keep it simple, natural yet elegant. I’m obsessed with the Kryss Dining Chairs that are made from teak with fabric fitted to the backrest with leather. The natural style is perfect for using on a porch or around a dining table. For a natural tabletop accent piece, the Puglia Seagrass Braided Hurricane is a new favorite. It comes with a removable glass candleholder and the seagrass weave is perfect nod to summer.

Happy hour never looked so good with this Italian Cutting Board and the Artisan Forged Cheese Knives. Handcrafted from oak wood, this cutting board has a natural side for serving cheese, fruits and charcuterie, and a smooth side for chopping. Need more outdoor living inspiration? The Art Of Outdoor Living is a dreamy guide to creating stylish and livable outdoor spaces.

Summer is here, and whether you're staycationing or jetting off to a destination wedding, let us help you get there in style. I hope my collection of favorites inspires you to liven up your wardrobe and entertaining spaces for the season ahead.

Sending lots of love,
