The DIANI Holiday Gift Guide - Part 2

As we inch towards Thanksgiving Day and the official start of the holiday season, gift shopping is upon us. And without further ado, part two of The DIANI Holiday Gift Guide is here. Our stores are filled with handcrafted, one-of-a-kind pieces that I've curated into gifting categories to help you find something special for everyone on your list. This week I’m rounding up all my stylish favorites for the eco-conscious, handcrafted enthusiast, skincare master and, of course, the men in your life.

Gifting skincare is a win, win: it doesn't have to fit, it feels personal, and it's the perfect combination of luxurious, yet practical. I'm currently obsessed with our newest line from Irene Forte Skincare. Each product is created from ingredients grown on an organic farm in Sicily using sustainably-minded practices. The Lavender Foam Cleanser is perfect for sensitive skin and The Helichrysum Toner hydrates and helps to minimize signs of aging. The Hibiscus Serum is the heavy lifter, using Myoxinol to reduce wrinkles and boost collagen for visibly smoother skin. And the everyday Rose Face Oil is lightweight, fast absorbing and great for parched winter skin. 

To nourish and reduce wrinkles, the Hibiscus Night Cream also uses myoxinol to naturally reverse signs of aging. Pair with the Hibiscus Serum to up the results. Clinically proven to improve skin hydration, the Olive Eye Cream is my new best kept secret. For immediate hydration and plumping effects, the award-winning Pistachio Face Mask is a game changer. And to protect dry skin on the hands, the Pomegranate Hand Cream soothes and nourishes – a daily essential for me.  

For that friend, family member or loved one who works long hours, these skincare products are for them. Brush the body using the Body Ionic Massage Brush for three minutes before soaking in the bath to melt stress away. Lock in moisture post bath or shower with this Body Oil from Susanne Kaufmann. And to nourish the skin during the bath, these Bath Bombs (available in three scents) are made with organic coconut oil. Gentle, yet powerful, the Antioxidant Body Wash from Salt + Stone is my current go-to as it leaves my skin hydrated and silky smooth. Instead of a wash cloth, I use the Mater Agave Cloth, made on a community farm in Mexico using fair trade, organic and sustainable practices. And when I'm in the bath or shower, this Coffee + Mint Body Scrub is perfect for reviving the skin's appearance. And to keep skin glowy, I apply the Body Butter from Susanne Kaufmann. 

If you're shopping for a skincare lover on-the-go, there are a few products I swear by. First this Orgaid Organic Sheet Mask is great for travel and instantly revives dry, tired skin. Even in the dead of winter I apply sunscreen, and the Natural Mineral Sunscreen Lotion from Salt + Stone is lightweight and non-greasy. And this California Mint Lip Balm keeps my lips moisturized and goes with me everywhere.

After a long day, the Herbal Whey Bath from Susanne Kaufmann is a dream, it nourishes the skin and calms the body. Used for thousands of years, this Pumice Stone is the natural way to remove calluses from hands and feet.

If a friend or loved one is looking to make sustainable swaps in and around the home, we have an assortment of gifts that I can personally vouch for. Beautifully woven from a blend of wool, cashmere and silk, the Ginga Sfumato Quadra Scarf will add warmth, softness and style to his wardrobe. The resolution to his skincare needs, the Charcoal Rope Soap is made from all natural plant-based ingredients with a coconut husk rope that you can hang up to dry. For the art enthusiast, this Peter Beard coffee table book is a collage of photography, ecology and diary writing of the artist’s life in New York and in Africa. Sure to bring a smile to his face, the Go Ask Dad Tea Towel is made from 100% flour sack cotton and is great for drying dishes, baking bread, and a good laugh.

For the design enthusiast, we have one-of-a-kind treasures for every style. The book Down To Earth shares how to incorporate design principles into your home for natural, easy living. Custom designed by yours truly, this Linen Pillow is made from handmade vintage fabric with colorful pom detailing. Our newest ceramicist to hit the store is New York-based Jeanette Morrow. Inspired by relics, she creates unique heirlooms for the everyday, such as the beautiful Jeanne D'Arc Mallory Vase and this Bacchante Edith Dish made to hold tiny treasures.

Another beauty by Jeanette Morrow, the Perseus Christina Tray is adorned with an Perseus emblem, symbolizing bravery and courage in Greek mythology. Handcrafted in Santa Barbara by Yokwe Ceramics, this Turquoise Bud Vase is inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese design and is lovely as it is or with a few fresh or dried stems. Made with all natural sumac wax, these Nanao Sumac Wax Candles are not only beautiful, but eco-friendly too. Pair them with this Brass Duck Candle Snuffer made for Japanese candles, plus it's cute too.

From the highly sought-after interior design firm Clements Design comes the book Eight Homes. It showcases homes that embody the Clements style: understated elegance, simplicity, easy glamour and grand intimacy. Woven by artisans in Rwanda, the Nyagatare Small Bowl is a sisal woven basket that can be hung on the wall or as a beautiful table display. A Santa Barbara landmark, Presidio Bells was photographed by my hubby Jeffrey Doornbos, and makes a lovely gift. A small dish made for tiny treasures, the Hebe Edith Dish from Jeannette Morrow features an emblem of the Greek goddess of youth.

If you know me, you know I'm candle obsessed. The Hara Candle has a permanent spot on my coffee table and is made from 100% organic soy wax. It's also available in the Milk and Pirro designs. This time of year I like to gift dried flowers, and this DIANI Sage Bundle is a favorite. The base is a sage wand surrounded by dried wild flowers and grasses and it can be separated so the sage wand can be burned.
