Caroline Shares 7 Days Of Holiday Style
Just as the music playing or the food served has a way of cementing a fond memory, so too can what you wear during a memorable occasion. And since this is the most wonderful time of the year, I’ve put together seven of my favorite looks that will add style and set the scene – from a metallic jumpsuit and cozy Christmas sweater, to an ethereal statement dress and my new favorite platform heels.
I'm a sucker for teal/blue, and gravitate to anything in that color. This top and midi skirt duo from Sea NY feels fun and flirty, and the detailing makes this two piece extra special, from the ties at the sleeves to the pin tucking on the skirt. Add in a little shimmer with these metallic platforms and you’re ready for the festivities.
Whether you're dressing for a holiday dinner or Christmas Day gathering, I’m loving the elegant Sherry Top from St. Roche. It features low key shoulder pads, long sleeves that gather into a fitted cuff and delicate lace and embroidery detailing. I’m pairing it here with my favorite Max Pant, lace up square toe boots and for a pop of print, a leopard clutch.
Need cocktail party attire or something special to ring in the New Year? This luxe metallic jumpsuit is a serious head turner. It features a sexy off-the-shoulder silhouette with a relaxed fit and a self-tie waist made from the most comfortable lurex knit fabric. To complete the look, I styled it with a tailored black blazer – the perfect piece for effortless, chic layering.
If you're looking for a great base for several looks and many occasions, this silk tie-dye Duster Dress is the ticket. The oversized fit can be pulled in with the hidden tie at the waist and I’m wearing it over these cashmere tights and the square toe lace up boots from new Berlin-based brand, Aeyde. To add a warm layer with edgy styling details, I layered with the Wren Quilted Jacket.
A favorite way to elevate basic black pants is with a statement top - cue this metallic chiffon blouse from Halston. Featuring billowy sleeves, and an elegant back neck tie, this top pairs perfectly with these sleek suiting pants. The slip-on style gives these pants a slightly relaxed fit and I love the elegant wide leg silhouette. Dinner parties here I come…
From the ski slopes to dinner at home, this festive look strikes the perfect balance between comfort and style. The cozy Logan Fair Isle Sweater is made from 100% cotton and features a classic Alpine pattern that never goes out of style. I’m pairing it with the Max Pant and the lace up boots from Aeyde... (clearly my new favorite boots).
A holiday sweater doesn’t have to be red and green, printed or bejeweled. I like my statement sweaters with feminine detailing and the Santos Sweater delivers with an eye catching oversized eyelet trim and balloon sleeves. I styled it here with my favorite wide leg suiting pants and platform heels.
We all love a bonus, so I couldn't resist an eighth look for good measure. It doesn’t get more festive than feathers and shimmer, and this statement dress has it all. With a subtle midi-length A-line silhouette, this is the party dress of the season. I’m styling it with a timeless and versatile double-breasted coat and the classic Clarita Heels in nude.
When the question comes up about what to wear during this holiday season, I hope these looks inspire a festive mood, and help set the stage for memorable occasions and fond memories.
