A Tour Inside DIANI Shoes

After a brief hiatus, I’m excited to announce the reopening of DIANI Shoes. In January, the boutique was affected by the winter floods in Santa Barbara and needed to close for remodeling. It's been an arduous process, testing all our patience, but I’m thrilled to finally reopen with a fresh space and new arrivals for spring. This week I’m showing you inside the store and sharing a bit about the history of DIANI Shoes and the new arrivals that just hit our shelves.

Soon after I opened DIANI in 2002, it became clear that my clients were looking to be styled from head-to-toe. At the time I wasn't carrying shoes in the boutique, so to test things out, I first introduced sandals and they flew out the door. Then I started looking for another shoe line, and another, and as I added more brands and styles, I quickly ran out of space to house all the boxes. And so the vision for DIANI Shoes was born.  I waited patiently for a spot to become available in Arlington Plaza, and when it did in 2007, I jumped at the opportunity. Many clients come to DIANI looking for full head-to-toe outfits or seasonal staples to add to their wardrobe, and DIANI Shoes offers just that – whether you need a pair of shoes, a handbag, a hat, sunglasses, or all four.

The remodel after the flooding in January was a two month process, but we made the most of the ordeal. Over an inch of water had flooded into the store, so the flooring had to come up and new planking laid. The walls also had water damage, so they were opened up and and put back together.

We needed to repaint throughout the space and I went with a warmer white from Farrow & Ball called Slipper Satin, and Wimborne White on the ceiling. 

Our fresh new space is the perfect canvas for showcasing all of our new arrivals for spring. From wedges and sneakers to totes and clutches, we have every shoe and accessory you need for this season and beyond.
