Matt Bernson launched in 2005 with a small collection of handmade sandals after finding inspiration on a trip to India. Based in Tribeca, he designs women's shoes with a distinctly downtown sensibility. Using beautiful, naturally tanned leather on original constructions, the result is simple and rustic, with a strong emphasis on comfort engineering, reinforced by Matt's background in the building industry. While he has a famous fan base, Matt's mission from the beginning was to make fashionable quality footwear available to many, celeb and student alike.
