Native Angeleno Dorothy Lee's fashion aesthetic was shaped in large part by the influence of her architect father. Her appreciation for interior design and fine art likewise affected her design sense and a keen, discerning taste shows in her clothes. Having studied at UC Berkeley, Central Saint Martins in London and Parsons School of Design, and having worked for Peter Som, Chanel and Leon Max, Lee launched her own line with her Fall '07 debut collection of sophisticated and elegant pieces.
